Terms & Conditions
– Destination Wedding Ceremonies
1. Fees & What’s Included
The destination wedding ceremony fee is £1,850. This covers all consultation, preparation, script writing, rehearsal support, and ceremony delivery. It does not include travel, accommodation, airport transfers, travel insurance, visa fees, or any other costs associated with getting to and from your venue.
2. Travel & Accommodation
All reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be agreed in writing before your booking is confirmed. These will be invoiced separately and are payable in full at least eight weeks before the wedding date. Caron Warner Celebrancy reserves the right to arrange its own travel and accommodation, selecting options that are practical and appropriate for the commitments involved.
3. Deposit & Payment Schedule
A non-refundable deposit of £500 is due upon booking to secure your date. The remaining balance of £1,350 is due no later than eight weeks before your wedding date. Travel and accommodation costs are invoiced and payable separately as outlined above.
4. Cancellation & Postponement
Cancellation by the client: The deposit of £500 is non-refundable in all circumstances. If cancellation occurs more than eight weeks before the wedding date, no further fee is due. If cancellation occurs within eight weeks of the wedding date, the full ceremony fee of £1,850 remains payable. Any travel or accommodation costs already incurred or nonrefundable at the point of cancellation will also be invoiced in full.
Postponement by the client: One postponement may be accommodated without penalty, subject to availability and provided notice is given at least eight weeks before the original date. Postponements requested within eight weeks of the original date will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and a new deposit will be required.
Cancellation by Caron Warner Celebrancy: In the unlikely event that I am unable to fulfil your ceremony due to circumstances beyond my control, all fees paid (excluding nonrefundable travel or accommodation costs already incurred) will be refunded in full.
5. Legal Validity Abroad
A celebrant-led ceremony is a non-legally binding ceremony. If you wish your marriage to be legally recognised, you will need to complete the legal registration separately – either in your destination country or in the UK before or after your celebration. Requirements vary by country, and it is the couple’s responsibility to research and comply with local marriage laws. I am happy to advise on how other couples have navigated this, but I cannot provide legal guidance.
6. Weather & Contingency Planning
Outdoor destination ceremonies are subject to weather conditions beyond anyone’s control. I strongly recommend that all couples have a contingency plan in place – whether an indoor alternative, a covered space, or a flexible timeline. I will work with you and your venue to accommodate changes on the day wherever possible but cannot be held responsible for disruption caused by weather or other circumstances outside my control.
7. Travel Disruption
In the event of significant travel disruption – including but not limited to cancelled flights, border closures, or force majeure events – I will make every reasonable effort to reach your venue. If travel proves impossible despite all reasonable efforts, I will work with you to find an alternative solution, including a virtual ceremony option where appropriate. In such circumstances, a partial refund may be agreed at my discretion, having regard to costs already incurred.
